In 2011, we realized the need for a small, family-oriented company that could offer homeowners custom carpentry work, while delivering on the promise of high-quality craftsmanship. We believe in a strong balance between work and family; not just for our employees, but for our customers, as well. It is with this in mind that we schedule our projects and hours to minimize the disturbance of your household. In order to maintain our promise, we believe that efficient communication is the most important element to any project. From the initial meeting with the homeowner until the last bit of dust is swept away, we maintain our promise of quality and service.
About the Owner
Tom Potter realized his love for the building trades and developed his skill set as a young boy while watching and helping his father build their family home. Prior to entering the professional construction field, Tom served two overseas deployments with the Army National Guard-the first shortly after September 11 to Germany as force protection and the other to Iraq in 2005 for combat operations as an infantry soldier. After returning home he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management while working as a carpenter and crew leader for a local contractor building custom homes. Also, while completing his bachelor’s degree, Tom remodeled his personal home, a 1950’s Cape Cod.
The Potter family moved to the Nashville area in 2010 and started Classic Homeworks of Franklin shortly after. While Tom is very grateful for how busy the company has kept him, he enjoys spending his personal time exploring Tennessee with his family and riding his Harley. He resides in the Franklin area with his wife, Rebecca, and their young son.
